What would you do if you were forced to choose who lived or died; the man who mentored you your entire life, or the father you just met who gave you life?

On the day Sydney was born, her father, Jake Logan, was on a covert mission tasked with taking down the leader of a vicious cartel on the FBI’s most-wanted list. When a raid on the compound went wrong, a member issued an ‘Order of Death’ on their heads. To keep his family safe, Jake disappeared from their lives, and years passed without any trouble.

Until now…

After her mother died Sydney searched for her father and now they were back together, trying to bond after years of absence. Invited to take part in a week of spy games, with Sydney and Cody learning the ropes of covert ops, they’re unexpectedly thrust into a live mission when Jake and his team were ambushed and Detective Carter abducted. Join them as they cross the Pacific to an unknown island,

Join them as they cross the Pacific to an unknown island, dodge lunatics chasing them through the jungle, and ultimately attempt to infiltrate a dangerous compound, whose occupants are more deadly than any predator they’ve ever seen, all in hopes of carrying out a rescue.

But now that the predator knows her identity; is it Sydney they’re really after?

McSwain & Beck get a makeover!

In this new world of publishing, we writers are in the driver’s seat and in charge of navigating the roads necessary to achieve our success. Sometimes, we may take a wrong turn and need to turn around, and sometimes, we may need to chart a difference course.  In that vein, McSwain & Beck are getting a makeover!

When I first contacted an artist to design the original covers for Gone at Zero Hundred 00:00 and Fireworks on the 4th, I wanted to show that the stories were filled with action and adventure, and give the reader an idea about the cool fictional location that the series was created in. The current covers definitely do that, in spades. They’re beautiful.

The reality is; I should have focused on showing the mystery and danger involved in the story. So I have taken the plunge. I hired David C. Cassidy to revamp the covers. In Gone at Zero Hundred 00:00 the crimes depicted are straight from the headlines-type stories, and developed from interviews with big-city detectives – the subject matter becoming more prominent every day.

The new cover for Gone at Zero Hundred 00:00 shows that the story is gritty, edgy, and reveals the danger inside the pages.

Updated cover for Fireworks on the 4th revealed in the next few days…
