The daughter of a military veteran, CR grew up in a small town where she became an All-American athlete. She knew early on that she wasn’t cut out for the nine to five type of job – her tendency to day dream about adventures often got in the way. Being the daughter of a Navy Veteran she also knew one had to do what was necessary to be secure, so she disciplined herself to push those dreams aside and settled on working in the entertainment legal field. When those dreams invaded her world once again, CR finally gave in and set out to write her own adventures.
The journey started after she interviewed big city detectives then talked with some of their victims. Those interviews introduced her to the horrific crime of human and sex trafficking, which was the topic of the first book in the series featuring McSwain & Beck. The novels are works of fiction, only based on real life events, but you can’t help but wonder while reading the books which parts are true.
When CR isn’t writing, she enjoys renovating houses, spending time outdoors, and playing with her Golden Retriever, Annabelle. She is also a huge supporter of the troops.

As an avid fan of the Tom Gray thrillers, the publisher graciously gave me an advanced copy for an unbiased review.
Gray Vengeance not only equaled the first four books in the series, but went above and beyond, reminding me of fiction heroes of the same ilk fighting terrorists in the US, such as Scott Horvath and Mitch Rapp—admittedly two of my favorites. This is an intelligent thriller that rings eerily true in today’s world, and makes you immediately wonder how far from reality are the events depicted, and could truth really be stranger than fiction if they were actually played out.
Without giving away too many spoilers, the story starts off by introducing the reader to disenchanted men who want to wreak havoc to their homeland and somebody with the financial means to do so, is behind the scene pulling the strings. As training commences to pull off coordinated terrorist attacks all across the United Kingdom, Tom Gray has his daughter glued to his side in an attempt to keep her safe from the threats he knows are still out there by a nemesis that continues to evade the law. Holding true to the author’s past books, the reader also continues to see the loyalty between Tom Gray and his team, his friendship with Harvey, and how far he is willing to go to keep his country safe.
Gray Vengeance is a fast-paced thriller you won’t want to miss and will keep you thinking through the entire story.

A note from the author:
We live in a world where few people find their happily ever after, even though most of our childhood stories preached that to us. Wait a minute. Did they? I keep hearing…and I’ve been known to write this statement, “I’ve obviously read too many fairytales…” But when I looked back, the fairytales weren’t all sunshine and roses. In fact, many of the characters in what we tag as ‘fairytales’ were beaten, banished, orphaned, poisoned, lost, and on and on…
So where does the fairytale aspect actually play out? Is it when the dashing prince on the white stallion sweeps in and they live happily ever after? Chuh! But hey, the protagonist had to go through many trials to get there. So what’s so bad about that? Personally, I don’t think there’s a problem, except for putting all your dreams in one knight in shining armor who turns out to be a frog. But you can still work at your happily ever after, with or without the prince, right? Though, in my opinion, I think we’re all looking for someone who completes us.
The fact of the matter is a troubled past helps us appreciate a wonderful present. When we experience trials, we often seek out God and loved ones for support and are that much more thankful when the trial ends. So, I don’t have trouble with fairytales; that’s why I write them, modern-day fairytales, that is. I put my characters through trials and tribulations because I know that somewhere, someone can relate. Yes, there’s normally a knight in hidden-armor, who usually requires some polishing before he’s fit to be a prince. But again, isn’t that what great relationships do? They feed off each other to become better partners.
This is what I write about in all my stories. People who have flaws, but learn to overcome, trust when all else fails so they can love again, and forgive so they can know peace.
